Reports to the Commercial Manager, South East Asia, Freight & Project Forwarding based in Singapore, the highly motivated individual will possess the relevant skill sets, capable of establishing new accounts and develop the freight forwarding business, manage and meet targeted growth for the freight and project forwarding desk.   • Establishing sales strategies, developing new freight forwarding business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships
  • Formulate 6-12 month sales action plan in line with group direction
  • Meet and achieve sales target KPI and budget
  • Weekly/monthly commercial reporting to direct Manager on all sales and business development
  • 90% hunting for new freight forwarding sales (not relating to warehousing)
  • 10% exploring and developing further business opportunities with existing customers
  • Participate in global and local tenders
  • Communicate, share and collaborate with all overseas Access World branches on leads generated to and from any locations
  • Strong team player whilst liaising and coordinating with clients, vendors and internal operational team members

  • Diploma or degree in business administration, logistics or a related field
  • Relevant experience with a track record in sales and business development preferably in the freight forwarding industry
  • Existing business pipelines and connections will be a plus
  • OOG/project cargo experience an added advantage
  • Result oriented with strong ability to prioritize tasks in order to achieve assigned sales target
  • Resourceful with excellent commercial & entrepreneurial flair are critical to the success of this role

Report to Deputy Finance Manager for handling AR & AP operation tasks, prepare weekly cashflow forecast, Staff claims validation, Bank reconciliation & cash flow management and Regional treasury support.   • Perform bank reconciliation
  • Process corporate AP invoices and post to the system
  • Generate AR Statement of Account
  • Prepare PV & TT payment for daily carrier invoices

  • Request for fund transfer when required, and generate GL journal & / or TT for the transfer
  • Matching for ICP billing
  • Prepare weekly cashflow forecast
  • Support ERP system implementation
  • Support credit control initiatives

  • At least 4 years of relevant working experience
  • Degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional accounting qualification preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Intermediate/Advanced) and other ERP Systems

We are currently seeking to appoint a highly motivated individual to the role of Commercial Manager, Clearing & Forwarding. Reporting to the Commercial Head, Asia Pacific, Freight & Project Forwarding based in Singapore. The individual will have the relevant skill sets, capable of developing compelling value propositions that foster strong relationships aligned with products, markets and trade-flows, selling all Access World commodities business and services (In line with Freight and Project Forwarding budget revenues, commercial plans and targets, etc).   • Manage an assigned geographical sales area to maximize sales revenue, meet relevant sales targets and new business development.
  • Develop and implement commercial strategy. Also, strengthen the existing Commercial Clearing & Forwarding Team to increase sales conversion rate and improve commercial processes.
  • Implement required infrastructure for IATA, FIATA and other clearing and forwarding related accreditations, memberships and associations.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Key Account Management of our SEA network including quotation handling, sourcing of services and rates as well as P&L management not limited to sea freight (Vessel/Part Charter/LCL/FCL), air freight shipment and inland trucking.
  • Expand reliable and competitive freight forwarders, carriers (Sea and Air), other transport providers meeting the companies and customer requirements, monitor and track their service performance (service failures, issues, disputes and claims).
  • Maintain customer satisfaction in meeting customer’s requirements with a reasonable response-time, rate competitiveness and validity periods.
  • Build relationships at all levels and represents the company, including making presentations and attending networking events.
  • Provide management reporting including business reviews, sales planning, meetings and visit reports, etc.
