Reporting to the Commercial Manager, South East Asia, Freight & Project Forwarding, the individual will manage and lead the Freight and Project Forwarding business to develop and execute the commercial strategy for Thailand in order to expand the freight and project cargo business while the desk handles freight procurement, vendor management and sales as well as Commercial Account Management covering AW Network and Key Clients. 职责将包括但不限于。
  • Manage an assigned geographical sales area to maximize sales revenue and meet relevant team and personal sales targets
  • Develop and implement commercial strategy
  • Strengthen the existing Commercial Clearing & Forwarding Team to increase sales conversion rate and improve commercial processes
  • New Business development dedicating time to own sales activities including engaging prospects and customers to present and sell the company’s services, always furthering relationships to grow and expand the company’s business Focus on Access World’s existing target sectors as well as new sectors that is in line with company strategy
  • Manage the Freight & Project Forwarding business and broaden network of vendors and relationships aligned with products, markets and trade-flows
  • Collaborate with Commercial Key Account Management of our SEA network including quotation handling, sourcing of services and rates as well as PnL management not limited to sea freight (Vessel/Part Charter/LCL/FCL), air freight shipment and inland trucking
  • Expand reliable and competitive freight forwarders, carriers (Sea and Air) and other transport providers meeting the companies and customer requirements as well as monitor and track their service performance (service failures, issues, disputes and claims)
  • Maintain customer satisfaction meeting customer’s requirements with a reasonable response-time, rate competitiveness and validity periods
  • Build relationships at all levels and represents the company in a professional manner, including making presentations and attending networking events
  • Provide management reporting including business reviews, sales planning, meetings and visit reports, etc.

  • Possess deep and comprehensive understanding of freight and chartering business and different modes of international shipping and logistics
  • Diploma or degree in business administration, logistics or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years commercial management and sales experience in a Freight Forwarding/ NVOCC/ Chartering environment, with a minimum of 5 years in managerial capacity

  • Actively participate as a member of AW Indonesia and regional SEA teams, working closely with other Commercial and Business Unit Managers within South East Asia and other Access World entities globally
  • Attend networking and directing customers enquiries
  • Request rates from service providers and assist Business Development Manager & Commercial Managers for all proposals compilation
  • Establish and develop vendor relationships in South East Asia e.g. with transporters, barge brokers/ carriers, container shipping lines and freight forwarders including full hands-on operational support where required
  • Maintain high standard of service delivery at all times
  • Outgoing personality to be able to communicate effectively with customers and build positive relationships
  • Must be able to resolve problems/queries efficiently
  • Address internal and external operational issues, liaise and coordinate with vendors (ports operators, transporters etc.) and internal customers
  • Attend monthly commercial activity reporting in the form of sales pipeline/enquiry register
  • Prepare and submit customer onboarding documents to legal for review
  • Work through service agreements for secured businesses with legal department

  • Responsible to coordinate and liaise with other departments in Singapore as well as other country offices for new business implementations, issues and/or disputes
  • Ensure commercial team implement and review SOP’s closely with regular assessments of shipments and services rendered, with reports on conformance/non-conformance to the operations executive and the clients
  • Account management to keep track of client’s on-going business and review with the customer service manager and team leaders
  • Contract negotiations and liaise with product managers, legal department and management regarding terms, conditions, liabilities and regulatory requirements
